Wellness Coach

Hi, my name is Keani and I am a certified Personal Trainer. I recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Psychology. The combination of my background in fitness combined with my background in psychology, I aspire to be not only a fitness coach but a well-rounded wellness coach. My love for wellness stemmed from a young age by watching my grandmother enjoy Zumba, spinning, and Qi Gong, while my grandfather practiced Tai Chi. In addition to being shown love and kindness from my family. Not only was I exposed to wellness through my loved ones, but I was also an active youth. I was always considered the “tomboy,” because I loved playing sports and being part of the boys’ team, even if that meant being the only girl.

Early on in my adolescence, I struggled with anxiety. It was not until I confronted my mum that she told me she suffered from it too. This derived my knowledge of what generational trauma was and how important it is to heal those wounds so we don’t continue to pass it on to the next generations. My mum taught me early on that the power of my breath was what would relieve my anxiety. Throughout my life, I’ve learned ways to decompress my stress through journaling, meditation, and dance. In my free time, you will catch me in nature, spending time with those closest to my heart, or eating a yummy meal. 

Today, my primary purpose is to drive personal growth in others through building skills, knowledge, and understanding. I know firsthand that training can be scary and intimidating, but I am here to show you that you are resilient. Challenging the fear of movement and consistently working on your mind and body will bring you one step closer to growth. Only through consistently challenging ourselves and moving away from comfort does growth happen. I want all my athletes to feel comfortable in their skin and overcome the fear of being judged regarding fitness. I admire all forms of movement and strive for proper breathing techniques, correct form, and mind (psychology) muscle (fitness) connection.

I create plans that are personalized to each individual. I do not discriminate against race, ethnicity, religion, or age. I am willing to take on everyone’s individual needs. No one plan fits all, each person is unique in their way when it comes to fitness and nutrition. Do not be afraid to reach out and if you’ve read this far thank you for your time. HYPERTROPHY

Hypertrophy training, which is designed to build muscle endurance, build muscle mass, burn fat, and build strength.

MOBILITY

Dynamic mobility training, which focuses on opening up your joints through a full range of motion preparing you for movement. Mobility is the core principle for healthy longevity.

ENDURANCE

HIIT, high intensity interval training, is a form of cardio, which increases your heart rate quickly and effectively in a shorter amount of time.
